Stadtplan Valletta Pdf on this page. I just bought a used DELL LATITUDE laptop using windows XP SP1. I want to use Dial-up internet on it, but the modem is not working. The problem is that it shows a PCI modem in My computer's device manager, but there's a yellow question mark(?) appearing next to it. It does not accept any of the pre-installed drivers of windows. My question is, how to solve this problem.

Pci Modem Driver Laptop

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 Professional 32 bit I have only one driver issue which seems to be hard to solve and that is a driver for my PCI fax/data modem. (Solved) ~ Laptop Modem Driver (32 posts). The BIOS indication just means that there's nothing in your PCI slots. Since this is a used laptop. Since I'm new to laptops, so I dont even know if there's any modem(hardware) installled or not. Thanx (in advance) to everyone who wanna hlep me. If it still has the service tag on it (a small barcoded label stuck somewhere on the laptop, usually on the back, and it has a 5 or 7 digit number below the barcode), then you can go to the Dell site and input that service label number and it will link to the drivers that were shipped with your machine.

From Dell: The Service Tag is the serial number of the computer or device and is a 5 or 7 digit Alpha-Numeric code. Dell also has a utility called 'System Profiler' that can scan your machine and find the Service Tag number of the machine (useful if you can't find the label). You can find information on all this. Once you have your service tag number, it's just a simple matter of entering it in the Dell site. No, no, no... When you go to that, FIRST click on 'Add or Edit Service Tag' (though you may have done that anyway): But whichever sequence you use to enter your service tag anyway (and you MUST enter your service tag at some time to get the driver that was shipped with your machine), your modem will be listed under the 'COMMUNICATION' item. You are correct, there is no listing for 'Modem', rather modem drivers are under 'COMMUNICATION': Since I don't have your service tag, my image is not specific to your machine, rather it shows all drivers for C610's.

But once you enter your service tag, and then expand 'COMMUNICATION', it will list the modem driver that was shipped with your machine. (BTW, the 'J' in the hand symbol in my first image...

Which means it's a javascript link... Is from an add on in my Firefox... Yours will probably just show a clear hand). LATEST DISCOVERY!!! >I just checked out another Dell C610 and found out that it was running a PCI mini device modem. >Now the other scene, I checked out my BIOS.

On the DEVICES page, there were some devices with options that you can set using the up/down and change values(Enabled/Disabled) using the left/right keys of the keyboard. I hope you got the image so far. At the extreme bottom of that page, there was a device named 'Mini PCI device' whose status was 'Not installed'. Since the device is not installed, its properties cannot be changed (means that its properties, such as enable/disable, cannot be changed from the BIOS page). It seems to be inactive. So the conclusion that I have got so far is that there's something wrong with the hardware.

I'll check the 'communication' drivers at the link provided, and post very soon. (I wanna say, Thank you so much for helping me. I know that you all would be quite fed up with this unique laptop modem problem, but i'm getting some solutions day by day.

Thank you BobJam, jd2066, LH, and everyone at HTG forums for helping me out!). I just went back and looked at your posts in this thread because I have this nagging suspicion that either something critical was left out of the details or I myself overlooked something...
