I've just started working in a non-profit office with an Ibico Hi Tech model wire/comb binder. They can't get the wire apparently, so we're using plastic combs, fine. But having to thread the combs through the punched holes by hand!!!

I'd like to fix it (in the interests of sanity). There's a place in front to open the comb but the relevant handle at the back won't budge, and the plate underneath that should move, seems stuck. Can I undo the screws and try to free it? Can't find a manual that would let me try to repair it rather than call out repairman.
